Classic design, well-thought-out construction, relaxed thermal soaring.The Kanuna 258 Retro is my first glider model that I'm producing in series – and a passion project. With a wingspan of approximately 258 cm and classic wooden construction, the model is based on the popular gliders of the 90s: box fuselage, ribbed wing, rubber attachment – nostalgic flair meets modern, well-thought-out design.
The design is such that the precisely fitting parts, like a puzzle, can only be inserted in the correct place. This virtually eliminates construction errors. A traditional instruction manual isn't necessary – you'll be guided step-by-step through the assembly process with detailed photo documentation. The wings are built on an included jig (assembly template) made of Depron – ideal even for model builders with little experience. Building fun is guaranteed!
Flight characteristics
The Kanuna 258 Retro impresses with its balanced, docile flight characteristics . It particularly shines in thermals: it climbs reliably, easily catches thermals, and can be flown smoothly and with control in circles – even at very slow speeds. Ideal for relaxing hours at the flying field!
